Our April 4th meeting will feature a special presentation by long-time member Ken MIller, with two short programs featuring the slides of another long-time member, Dick Forest. The first show is titled: "Phillipsburg, Crossroads of Transportation," looking at this Warren County river town that was crossed by five major railroads, two canals, a trolley line, and was home to big industrial facilities. While attending law school, Dick was an operator at Q tower north of P'burg, so he knew when the trains were running and was line side in his youth, and was taking pictures long enough to revisit those spots during the Conrail era giving us many then-and-now looks. The second program is "Travels With Dick Forest." Anyone who knew Dick knew that he liked to travel, first class, so we'll see private car journeys all over North America during the height of the private car era. This should be a memorable night.
The meeting begins at 7:15 at the Bickford Theater, Morris Museum, 6 Normandy Heights Road, Morristown. Admission is free, all are welcome.
