Railroad Museum [for a day]

  • United Railroad Historical Society of New Jersey 104 Morris Avenue Boonton, NJ, 07005 United States (map)

Boonton, NJ | Sunday, September 25, 2016
10:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Join the United Railroad Historical Society of New Jersey (URHS) for a celebration of New Jersey's railroad history. Over a dozen pieces of restored historic railroad equipment will be open to the public during this exhibition, which is held the same day as the annual Boonton Day street fair.

Tri-State, which is a founding member of the URHS, will have three of its cabooses on display at the event (Lackawanna 896, Lehigh & New England 580, and Raritan River 10). This is a great opportunity for families, kids, and grandparents to come experience railroad history in person, walk through Tri-State's equipment, and talk with Tri-State volunteers!

We are looking for volunteers for help at Museum [for a day], and we are asking for anyone who is available to help! All volunteers will receive a staff shirt, free lunch, and will have time to walk around and enjoy the event! We will need folks to staff our cabooses as well as help visitors throughout the venue. If you can help, please contact volunteer coordinator Carolyn Hoffman at ch2112@gmail.com.
