Happy Valentines Day to Tri-State. That's right, our 2nd Thursday tradition falls on Valentine's Day and this year we'll keep a date with the rail history group we love most. And we'll look at one of the projects we love most. Our F3 project leader Mike Del Vecchio will share some images of the long life and times of Bangor & Aroostook No.44, today's Lackawanna 663 in Scranton. It started life in May 1948 in Maine as number 504 in the EMD F3 demonstrator paint scheme. And for more than 30 years it shared life with band-mate 46 as an anthracite ambassador wearing CNJ paint in the 1990s and Lackawanna freight paint in the 2010s. This year marks ten years since we brought the F3s to Scranton to begin their next life. And for Tri-State it was a restoration for the books, stripping it down to the skeleton and rebuilding it inside and out. We have a piece in which we can be proud. Please join us if you can.
As always, admission is free and all are welcome to attend.
