Olev Taremae joins us for a look at the original New York, Susquehanna & Western Railroad, in the years before its acquisition (and rejuvenation) by Delaware Otsego.

Retired from dual careers as a city planner and church organist/choir director, Olev lives in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. His interests include photography and railroad history . His writings and photographs have been widely published including Delaware-Lackawanna, his sixth book which was published in 2024. Earlier this year, the NRHS Bulletin included his article the Smithsonians which deals with a quartet of SW8 locomotives currently owned by the Reading, Blue Mountain & Northern Railroad. The current issue of Railpace features his article about Morrisville, Pennsylvania. He once was president of the now-defunct Hawk Mountain Chapter of the NRHS and is currently on the board of the Anthracite Railroads Historical Society.
